Editorial Writing & Photography for Food, Farm & Cookbook Publications

Most publications end up hiring a writer and a photographer separately to cover food and agriculture well — one person to get the story right, another to capture the visuals. I do both, which means an editor gets a single contributor who already knows the difference between a restaurant that's actually farm-to-table and one that just says so, and who can capture a farmer's hands in a field with the same care as the product on a chef's plate.

That grounding shows up in the published work below — bylines and photo essays for outlets like Edible Seattle and Offrange — and in the pitches beyond it: longer-form features and photo essays for publications covering restaurants, growers, and artisan food producers, plus cookbook photography for authors who want their book to look as good as it reads.
